Eastenders... wtf?

what the fuck is going on in eastenders?

monday: joy division b-sides billowing out of the vic's jukebox...

tuesday: the melancholy of the smiths' "this night has opened my eyes" soundtracking the luke warm sugary cups of tea and cold greasy food in Kathy's Caff...

friday: him out of blur living in some sort of weird 70/80s theme-pub in dungeoness which out-indies the vic by playing "no love lost" by warsaw (yes - track 3 of a scarce 4-track ep from the pre-cursor of joy division...)

and don't get me started about that whole bus crash/dying in the arms shite...

hmmmm...

wednesday morning and yet again the sunn spills through my windows and the sky is a beautiful blue in west yorkshire.

ignore the lies you may find in others' disturbed ramblings - the constant pitter-patter of the rain on the rooftops can destabilise even the most logical of minds after so many years...

the leeds rain

I woke up this morning and felt sad. Very sad. Very sad for the people who live in Leeds and its surroundings. Look at these statistics available under this link: http://www.worldweather.org/010/c00039.htm. It rains over 172 days in a year in Leeds. Every 2 days or more. Poor people. No wonder that some feel miserable and some are jealous of Berlin where it only rains less than 100 days a year according to the same source. You know, folks from Leeds, showers are good... they keep you clean and water the infamous English gardens. Do not be too sad... I am sending you some sunshine from Berlin. Your beastybeat.

ahhhh....

that is better... this morning my head does not ache and my throat seems much less abrasive than the day before. it is tuesday and yes, of course, the sun beams harshly through my northern english window as i type this. and those less fortunate than me you ask? in berlin, the streets are dry! hurrah! there will be celebrations aplenty tonight in the german capital!

Ouch...

my head hurts and my throat is very sore. this headcold is obviously not going to disappear very easily after all (well, i had been hoping it might do). i opened the curtains... the blast of bright sunshine that comes in through my northern english window is so strong that i momentarily stagger backwards in awe of its power. my limbs are aching but i remember that there are others less fortunate than me.

a quick rattle of the keyboard later and i am staring out at a webcam stuck in berlin's alexanderplatz... yes, as i thought, it is raining in berlin again.

Mile-High Jacksons

mile-high semi-transparent jacksons sprinkling sparkly dust... how cool is that?
